2020 Kia Forte
After a major update for the 2019 model year, the 2020 Kia Forte has fairly minor changes. A new GT and GT-Line has been added while the S trim has been dropped. A more advanced 1.6-liter 4-cylinder powerplant has been added with a turbocharger producing 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.
The peppy Forte has become a favorite of many daily drivers and over the years as the entire Kia Brand has grown immensely quality-wise. The new GT-Line and the base Forte share the same engine: the reliable 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that makes 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, though the GT trim has been been given a more sporty look.
The entire Kia Forte lineup uses the 2.0-liter engine other than the GT with the turbocharger.
Volkswagen Jetta
The 2020 Volkswagen Jetta is a tidy sedan with the interior space that rivals most mid-sized vehicles. It combines German engineering and sporty good looks to offer a great option in the compact sedan category. On the road, the 2020 Jetta is athletic and fun to drive with a balanced ride and communicative steering. You can opt for the manual transmission in the base model or the lightly sporty R version. 
The 8-speed automatic transmission is smooth and responsive, as well. At the top of the line, the Jetta GLI offers a dual-clutch 7-speed automatic transmission and comes with adaptive suspension. One of our favorite features is the digital dash. Overall the 2020 Jetta is a great bet if you’re in the market for a good-looking sedan with great driving dynamics.
